I have not sanded the underside of the table or chairs nor in between the slats of the chairs, but with a good teak oil will only add to the age and character of the set.

All is very solid and sound although there is some cracking on the arms of the chairs purely down to weather over time, and one chair has had a small repair on the top left, which is shown in picture, the table top in one place shows a dry line that looks cracked bit its on the surface as underneath is still evident thats its not gone through, and none of this affects stability or function of the set in anyway.
